What's a "Non-Cafepress" Tshirt?
Believe it or not, such tshirts do exist and Tshirt-Orgy
is currently
transferring our tshirts from Cafepress "heat-transfers"
to screen
printed tshirts. Screen printing offers many advantages over heat
transfers, mainly that they're cheaper for a higher quality product.
Also, you may have noticed that almost all tshirts on Tshirt-Orgy
are white. This has to do with a limitation with their heat transfers
(see above link) and is another reason to switch.
However, Cafepress's system allows them to print out a single
tshirt at a time, whereas screen printing must be done in bulk for
it to be cost-effective, hence the initial use of Cafepress.
Regardless, we will gradually begin to offer the most popular tshirts
on Tshirt-Orgy in screen printed format with the hopes of weaning
ourselves from Cafepress's bitter, dried teat (gross isn't it). |
